Privacy Plantings 

     The most popular service provided as many properties have a privacy void to fill.  Planting options range from hedge plantings providing a continuous screen to customized plantings designed to screen a particular view.  Plant characteristics such as growth rate, deciduous vs. evergreen plants, mature size, planting size, installation cost, maintenance requirements, freedom from problems, adaptability to site conditions and ornamental qualities desired are all factored into the decision-making process.   Plantings are guaranteed for 1 year after installation and all aftercare (moisture monitoring, watering, fertilizing and winter protection (if needed) are provided as a free service for 1 year.

                                              Accent Plantings

     Designed to provide interest or functionality to a specific area of the landscape.  Examples of common plantings include: 1) redesign of a foundation planting, 2) border plantings 3) a front yard planting bed to provide curb appeal and 4) a backyard planting to enhance aesthetics and relaxation.  Client interaction in the design process is encouraged.  Function, size, color and texture desired, installation cost,  adaptability to site conditions, survivability, and maintenance requirements are all evaluated in the design process. Plantings are guaranteed for 1 year after installation and all aftercare (moisture monitoring, watering, fertilizing and winter protection (if needed) are provided as a free service for 1 year.  Maintenance contracts for following years are available if desired.

                        Plant Problem Solving & Diagnostic Services

       Often times key plants in a landscape develop problems related to growing conditions or insect/diseases issues associated with particular plant species.  Intervention may or may not be required depending on the severity of the problem and the clients needs.  Tree, shrub and perennial diagnostic services are available to determine such needs.  Solutions are outlined taking into consideration importance to the health of plants, cost and practicality.  Eco-friendly solutions are encouraged.   

                                   Deer Tick Suppression Programs

        One of the most menacing problems in today's landscapes are deer ticks and their implications for human and pet health.  Lyme disease, along with other diseases, can be transmitted through deer tick bites.  Suppression programs incorporate an integrated approach utilizing vegetation management, tick control applications, education and avoidance strategies to minimize exposure to deer ticks.  Programs are customized based on degree of coverage desired and practicality.   

                                           Ornamental Pruning      

         Ornamental plantings of trees and shrubs will in time require maintenance pruning.  Pruning back of plantings next to houses will allow for easier home maintenance and help reduce moisture and staining damage to house exteriors.  Plants can quickly become overgrown and start blocking sidewalks, drives or windows or become out of scale to your home.  Rejuvenation pruning to reduce the size of overgrown shrubs while maintaining and enhancing aesthetic appeal is our specialty.  Ornamental trees such as crabapples, cherries and flowering dogwoods often require maintenance pruning to help reduce disease and decay, thin interior growth that is not contributing to the health of the tree, reduce shading, eliminate obstructing branches or just to help restore aesthetic appeal.  We provide pruning services for trees up to 25 feet in height.

                                           Lawn Renovations

         Thinning lawn areas promote weed growth and establishment.  We provide services from spot seeding to complete lawn area renovation by seeding.  Soil texture and structure is evaluated and organic material is added to promote and maintain healthy turf.  For larger lawn areas fall seeding is encouraged and promoted.  Sodding services are not provided.
